Memorial Day

We had planned to clean and organize the garage on Saturday. Well, dominic decided to sleep in until almost 10! When he woke i said to Dave lets just say screw it and take Dri to do something fun! So we packed up lunches and a cooler and went to a huge park! We had been wanting to take dri for awhile! It's ranked in the top parks in the country.

It was literally huge! They have a nice walking trail, big castle park, bike trails, soccer fields, adult weight park, small park and lots of picnic areas.

It wasn't too hot out and perfect! Dri had a blast. Dom napped

We upgraded Dom to a convertible carseat and driving anywhere has been much better. So that has been a good thing.

Came home, Dri wouldn't nap and Dom barley napped. While Dom napped Dri helped Dave organize the garage.

When Dom woke we had dinner and of course went on a walk and back to the playground (not the big one! Just ours).

Sunday, was church as usual. We got there super late! Dom of course napped in the van with me.

After church we came home and took naps! Daves parents came up around 3 and we grilled and hung out. It's always nice having them come over. Dri loves them!

They loved my grilling.:)

On Monday, we i took Dom on a run and he napped.:)

Then we packed up and went to the pool!!! It was hot and sunny!

It was a blast!! We are so lucky the ymca built this and it's literally across the street!!

We came home and had lunch and naps. When the kids woke we sorta hung out for awhile.

Just chillin...Dri learning her alphabet and of course pointing that finger! She's hilarious!!

We had more leftovers and guess what else we did? Went on a walk and to the park! Perfect ending to the weekend!

Mother's Day.

Mother's Day was perfect! We started it off on Friday.  I had been missing having one on one time with Dri and was wanting to take her to get a pedicure for a long time! Plus, we told her back in February when she potty trained she could get one. So off we went!

It was seriously so cute watching Dri sit there. She was so still and literally did move! She Chose her color as soon as we walked in. Then she chose mine.. Wait til you see it! Lol

A fly flew on her foot and she pointed to it and screamed and some lady came and swatted it away. Lol oh Dri

Do you love my color as much as I do?! Are you shocked with the color Dri chose?????

Saturday morning I made a ton of cookies! The young men were in charge Mother's Day and since Dave is the president I just took over. Lol we put the cookies in a bag and it ended up cute.

Saturday night we went to dinner with Daves parents. We went to red robin. That has become our go to restaurant. Lol the joys of living in a small town.

Dom was going through something and was just so fussy. I ended up leaving early with him and walking over to target. Thankful for babywearing!! Made me feel like a real mom! Lol

We came back and had cake and went on a walk. It was perfect!!

Sunday came and we went to church, can home and had lunch, napped and then guess what?? I grilled some chicken. Yup! Me!! It was nice to cook dinner and not feel rushed. We finished th day with our usual walk and park.

Oh and Dave was sweet and surprised me with some new candles. I am the type that doesn't like gifts for bdays and Mother's Day. All I want is family time. So that was thoughtful of him. Oh.. I forgot. He also got me lipgloss that is like bright pink. I don't wear color on my lips and we both had a laugh. Then it wouldn't come off and it looked like I had cold sores. Haha

Mother's Day wouldn't have been Mother's Day without some snuggles!

5 months!!

- Dom is now almost crawling!
- We upgraded to a convertible carseat and he enjoys it much more.. Thank goodness
- no interest in food
- LOVES DRI
- loves his toys
- naps in the stroller!!
- still nursing like a champ
-too cute for words!

Minivan!

Yup!! We own one now!! The rogue was just getting too small.. Especially when one of us has to sit back there.. Dominic hates the carseat and Dri still gets car sick.

We absolutely love it!! And I said I would never get a van! Lol

Birdy

When we first moved into our house there was an old nest above the porch light. we sorta got rid of it and we never had any birds come. Well, a few months ago the nest was back.. a bird was there! I popped up to see if there were any eggs and there was 1! I was so worried th egg would fall bc the nest didn't seem so sturdy.

Watching the bird care for the egg was so cute. One day, Daves dad came to put up a new mailbox and the bird got scared a flew away.. Not far though. He went from one neighbor to the next to our roof and back and forth watching the nest. She got used to me and started staying in the nest if I went out the front door.

A few weeks later we saw the baby bird! She just stayed there with it. So cute. They lasted about a week or two then they just disappeared. We were going to clean the near up and guess what? She's back! Lol she must have missed us! I can't say I don't blame her!

Dress up

Dri is OBSESSED with clothes and shoes. She changes her outfits like 5x a day. Ahhh! She loves dresses and shorts. She begs to wear dresses.. And if it's cold out she says "meemy, Iya wear tights"..  I mean how do you say no to that?! Lol

We were at Walmart last week and We stumbled upon dress up shoes.. Now, I had been wanting to get some for her but didn't want to spend more than 10 bucks! These were a whole 3! Lol I said to Dri.. We could get them bc they are only 3 bucks. We get home and I call my mom and tell her about the shoes.. And Dri says.. They were only 3 bucks! Lol too funny.

Dri ended up running around the kitchen and jumping with them on bc she loved them and the sound they made. Later that day, she jumped off a stool and they shattered! Dave took her to Walmart a few days later and Dri asked for more. When Dave asked where they were she said "Iya forgot" lol! They found them and Dave bought hem.

Dri is for sure a girly girl. It's Adorable and tiring at the same time.
