What we've been up to

The last couple weeks have gone by soo fast! We have been busy running around and trying to get somewhat on a schedule...(but really what is a schedule)..

I started going back to the gym more regularly last week and let me tell you how much better I feel..not because I feel like I want to change my body but because I really enjoy going. I like going in the mornings. It helps get my day going. Before I had Audriana I had my routine down..I would go to the gym in the morning and then stop and get my drink (1/2 coke 1/2 diet) then come home and do some chores and go on a walk and then make dinner or do whatever (crafts)...well I enjoyed that. I have really tried to kind of stick with that.  Even if I go to the gym for 20 minutes it still gives me some energy and motivation. Let me tell you it is not as easy going when you get not much sleep and you have to go earlier than you are used to because you have to be home by a certain time so your husband can go to work (wow that was long)..! I was however pretty proud of myself because I somehow managed to go to the gym, start 2 loads of laundry, showered and have dinner prepped all by 10 am! That will probably not be a regular thing!

I am trying to get Audriana to sleep in her bassinet peacefully. She hates it! She seriously HATES it! We have 2 bassnets because the original one didn't work so well. She was turning and managing to get her arms through the slates. OH and she always got her arms out of the swaddle so that didn't work either. SO Dave's parents bought a pack n play with a bassinet attached to it. So we tried that and it worked. Well, now she is too long for it and looks uncomfortable so we are trying her original bassinet again. I found a way to swaddle her to keep her arms in there and she did take her nap in there today. I didn't realize how hard this whole sleeping thing would be. If you have any suggestions on how to help her sleep through the night or most of the night that would be great. I don't really like reading books and feel overwhelmed with all the information out there.

Anyway, my mom comes next week and I am so excited! I already have lots of fun things planned for her to do..like changing diapers, burping a cute baby, getting up at night, cleaning and doing laundry. So basically when my mom gets here I will be the one on vacation! HA HA. Seriously though I won't make her do those things unless she really wants to help her youngest child out!

I really just love Audriana so much and couldn't be happier in my life!!!

Lets hope I can get Dri on somewhat of a schedule over the next couple weeks before I start back to work!

  2. Hey! So, I just thought I'd pass along a suggestion that worked for my sister-in-law. Holland was always getting out of her swaddle too so they swaddled her and then tied an ACE bandage around it for extra protection and enforcement. Sounds a bit like torture but Holland LOVED it and slept peacefully through the night. She was so happy to be as tight as can be! Hope that's helpful!! She is adorable
