Utah in September

Dave had to go to Park City for work so I had a good excuse to tag along! WE had so much fun there. My mom kept me laughing the entire time.
Dri is seriously the best travel buddy. She smiled at everyone, and adapted well to the time change and her nap and bedtime...considering it got wayyyyy messed up.
We arrived around 11pm on September 11...by the time we got to my moms house it was like 1 in the morning and Dri was wide awake! She had too much fun seeing grandma.
We thought she would for sure sleep in the next morning which was her BIRTHDAY but she didn't.
I ran out and got Daylight Donuts for everyone. I mean I was more than happy to get Daylight for the birthday girl.
I think she enjoyed it! After our donut breakfast we got ready (semi ..ok just dri got ready) and then we went out on a walk. It was so cute..my mom pushed the stroller and had such a blast. During our walk we saw a huge black cloud and realized it was going to pour so i ran home while dave, my mom and dri all took their sweet time and luckily they made it home before the rain hit!

After our walk we obviously went to go get our drinks and let dri nap..then we met up with Shanelle and her nephew at some bounce place. At first Dri wasn't so sure about it and was a little scared but then she ended up having a blast.
Her favorite was the slide! She loved it.
On our way home Grandma put on opera music and Dri thought it was hilarious.

I mean, look at that cute birthday grin. Thanks for the laugh grandma.
Then we went to Wingers and I totally forgot to get pictures!
OH WELL.. we then went back to my moms and had birthday cake. WE had so much fun. My nieces and nephews came and a few of my friends. Dri was lucky and it was great to see them.
  Dri had the best birthday!

The next day, we met up with some of my Brasilian friends. It was seriously such a blessing... let me explain... while on my mission my first area was Sao Carlos the 3rd ward. Well i was there for 2 transfers.. my second companion sister de souza and i we bonded with this one family. rita and her two daughters livia and laise. well livia served in cape verde and my american friend was her trainer! such a small world . anyway livia was visiting the usa and happened to be in orem...the same time we were there! Then, patricia de souza had just moved there with her husband! how awesome is that?? So we all hung out and we went to cafe rio!

Dri was obsessed with Livia and wanted nothing to do with anyone else while she was around. it was adorable.

I forgot to add that Dave had to go to Park City and so we took him there the day after Dris birthday so this was really on Friday.

The rest of the weekend we just hung out with my mom, nieces and sister. It was fun. I talked my mom and Danielle into skipping their Sunday naps and taking us to the parK! I still can't believe we did. We also stopped by the cemetery to see my dads grave and headstone.

I had to add these.. when we got back from taking dave to park city we stopped at macys the grocery store and dri loved the car shopping cart. it was so cute watching my mom push it.
I also want to add that when we took Dave to Park City we stayed with him for one night in this HUGE nice RESORT. It was valet parking only.. my mom and i were both in our comfy clothes and my mom was so embarrassed she acted like a tourist. It was hilarious and kept us laughing all night.

Dri was also obsessed with Aunt Danielle. SHe would not leave her alone. It was way cute. So here we have them at the park..its now documented! LOL

Dri started having a love with dolls. my mom collects them and this doll was mine from my childhood and its now one of her favorites.

She also started standing in the shopping carts..
sorry about the random butt..too lazy to crop the pic. we were at costco here.

Finally, a day or two before we left we were able to go up the canyon. We went on a small walk and just wanted to see the pretty fall leaves.
I love the canyon. It smells so fresh. Next time we go to Utah we will for sure be spending more time there.

Lastly, we went to my dads grave and added a few mums. I wish we would have had more time to make it look really nice.

That was our trip to Utah in a nutshell. We had so much fun. Just typing this is making me miss it and of course making me miss my mommy. We will be back out soon enough!
