Philadelphia Temple

That beautiful picture will soon come to life in a few years. It will be known as the Philadelphia LDS temple. The closest temples we have to us are the NYC and Washington DC. Instead of driving 2+ hours to go to the temple, it will be a short train ride or car ride away. We can go at anytime of the day - morning, afternoon, or night..including weekdays! We know this won't happen tommorrow but hey we are still excited and preparing for this!

We had the opportunity  to attend the groundbreaking service yesterday. Dave was on the committee - he helped plan and set up for this so instead of watching the service from a church building we were able to see it live! It was really cool because President Eyring was there.

We had the chance to help out with actual groundbreaking! We helped "turn" the ground.
Everyone that was there had the chance to do this.

It was such a beautiful morning (although, it was colder than I thought it was going to be and was freezing) and the spirit was so strong. It is a good reminder of who we are and what we can become. It is a good chance for us to talk to those around us of what is to come.

It reminded us how grateful we are to have been married in the temple.  Several general authorities that spoke, specifically talked about how families can be together forever because of the temple. What a great blessing! We can't wait for the temple to be built and dedicated!
